Terms of Service

Rewir is a mobile iOS app where your dog rediscovers your neighbourhood. The Free tier is free and indefinite. Premium is a subscription managed by Apple's App Store — you cancel it in iOS Settings.

1. Definitions

App / Rewir — the "Rewir" mobile application available on Apple App Store for iOS devices.
Provider — the entity operating the App, reachable at hello@rewir.app.
User — a natural person using the App.
Account — the User's data set created in the App via Sign in with Apple or an anonymous session.
Care Group — a group of caretakers for one dog (household) who share the dog profile and Premium subscription.
Pack — a private group of several dogs + caretakers for joint walks (referred to as "gang" in the Polish UI).
Premium — a paid subscription unlocking additional features, billed by the App Store.

2. Acceptance of terms

By using the App, you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please do not use the App.

3. Your account

Creating an account requires an iOS device and one of the authentication methods: Sign in with Apple (recommended) or an anonymous session.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter in your dog's profile.
An account is personal. You can add several dogs under one account. Sharing with household members happens through a Care Group, never by handing over credentials.
You can delete your account yourself in Settings → Account → Delete account. After confirmation all data (dogs, walks, memberships, subscription metadata on our side) is removed without delay.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the App for unlawful purposes,
harass or offend other users (Pack content is filtered for slurs),
spoof your GPS or otherwise manufacture fake discoveries,
publish photos of other dogs or people without their consent,
attempt to circumvent backend protections (App Check, Firestore rules, content filters).

The Provider may suspend or remove an account that materially violates these Terms, after a warning where possible — or immediately when the violation is severe (e.g. unlawful content).

5. Premium subscription

Premium is distributed via the App Store as an In-App Purchase subscription. Payment and billing are handled by Apple.
Current prices are visible in-app on the subscription screen and on the App Store and may vary by region.
Premium auto-renews each period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled at least 24 h before the period ends. Cancel in iOS Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions.
Premium is shared inside a Care Group — a single active subscription unlocks features for all group members (up to 5 caretakers).
When Premium expires the Free tier remains available indefinitely. Data (walks, dog profile) is preserved.
Refunds are handled by Apple per App Store policy. File requests here: reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Availability and technical limits

The App requires iOS 18.0 or later and a GPS-capable device.
Location capture is only possible after granting permission in the iOS system dialog. You can revoke it any time — the App will then stop recording walks.
We do our best to keep the App available, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. Service windows (e.g. Google Cloud maintenance) may occur.

7. User content

Content you publish in the Pack (pack name, pack avatar, walk description, chat — if introduced later) stays yours. You grant the Provider a non-exclusive, royalty-free, territorially limited (to the servers hosting the App) licence to store and display it to other members of the same Pack or Care Group. After you delete your account, the licence expires.

8. Support and complaints

Bugs, support questions, broken subscriptions, or other issues with the App go to hello@rewir.app. We aim to respond within 14 business days.

Billing questions tied to the App Store should be addressed to Apple directly (link above).

9. Cancellation and refund rights

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from contracts concluded at a distance. By starting to use Premium before the withdrawal period ends you give explicit consent to begin the digital service, in which case the right of withdrawal expires per Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive. Subscription refunds are handled by Apple under their policy.

10. Liability

Rewir is an information tool that supports dog ownership. The App does not replace veterinary advice. The "Care & reminders" section, and any health-related suggestions, are not medical advice. Always consult a vet for health decisions.

The Provider is not liable for damage resulting from improper use of the App or force-majeure events.

11. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you in-app at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes between the Provider and a consumer User can be resolved amicably. Consumers may also use out-of-court dispute resolution, including the European Commission ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
